Cruz de Popayan is lovely hostel set in a beautiful colonial building with 2
patios. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a range of options
such as TV & bathroom. Breakfast is included, a laundry service & free
internet are available. Having looked at most of the budget options, I
consider this to be by far the best.

Hey Hostal Cruz de Popayan!!!
Just would like to let you know that I had fun staying at your place. Your
place is fantastic. Although, it was really my first time to stay in a
hostel, I could definitely say that staying at Hostal Popayan was a great
choice. I was able to meet a lot of new friends from different parts of the
world. Shower rooms, beds, common areas, kitchen are outstanding and
wonderful. Gladis, Abad, Marisol and the other guys there, thank you very
much for being so hospitable when I was there. All of you guys were very
helpful in any way. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is
looking for a great place in Sucre. Hostal Cruz de Popayan is very
affordable, very clean, cozy and to top it all it is a great place with
great people. I will definitely going back there on January and will bring
bunch of
friends.
All the best!

As soon as I stepped inside Hostal Cruz de Popayan, I started to relax, It
just felt like I found somewhere to ease the stress of constant traveling.
The building is a beautiful 17th century old colonial house, and I really
liked the fact that it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city
centre, yet only 5 mins walk from all the action.
The staff welcomed me like I was family and I felt so at home I came back
again.
There are 2 beautiful open courtyards to mingle with other travelers and the
rooms are clean and spacious.
I recommend Hostal Cruz de Popayan to all travelers, stay here or you will
regret it!

I was in Sucre and I stayed at the hostal Cruz de Popayan. I must say its
really clean and organized. I crew there was great and they never ran out of
beer, plus it was quite cheap compared to other hostels. I met some
really interesting people there and I made tonz of new friends. It was my
first time staying at a hostel and I dont regret it. Keep up the good work
guys. Sucre was awesome!!!! Muuaahhhz.

I stayed w/ my sister in a twin beds room of the hostal cruz de popayan it
was by far one of the nicest hostels we have stayed in so far, and this is
after two months of backpacking all over southamerica the service was
awesome and the staff were super friendly, and super informative. thanks for
everything!

I was just staying here for 2 nights, on the way back to Germany after
volunteer work in Santa Cruz for a year. It was probably the best way to
finish that year, one of the best hostels I'ver ever stayed in, clean,
friendly and nice, no very, very nice people and staff! Made it feel like
kind of a home, exactly what I was looking for to have a great stop in Sucre
before going back home!

Thanks to Abad, Gladys, Epi, "the Sunshine of Sucre" aka Marisol (just had
to write that Marisol; sorry) for a fabulous three day at your 6 star
hostel. As always you run a great home-away-from-home and attract such
interesting guests. Or do they just become more interesting in such a
laid-back but warm home-like environment?? Does the cheapest beer and wine
in Sucre contribute???.
Keep up the fabulous work - it's certainly appreciated by all who stay. Best
wishes to all for a great Year.

This is my second time to Sucre and wouldnt be the same without staying in
the Hostal Cruz de Popayan. I have travelled around the whole of South
America and this is by far the best hostel I have ver stayed in. Marisol and Abad are fantastic
people. Who basically wanna make your stay the best ever. I couldnt fault
this hostel if I tried. If they only had an Hostal Cruz de Popayan in ever
country but then that would take away the personal touch they bring to this
great place. I love you guys and hope to see you soon. Thanks to all the
staff as well you were great.

I stayed at Cruz de Popayan for one month and I have to say, it feels very
strange to leave!. Every person who works at hostel was kind and helpful and
it was nice to come 'home' to them. The hostel offers a social atmosphere
but luckily does not affect those who need sleep/rest. The variety of rooms
offered means that groups, couples or those traveling alone can choose
according to their budgets and wishes. I was very happy with my month in
Sucre, at Cruz de Popayan. It was central place, it has great patios,
courtyards, the staff help you with anything you want to know. The rooms are
comfortable for long term stays.
